The birth, upbringing and education of Dr. ElBaradei:-

Born in Cairo on June 17, 1942, his father, Mr. Mustafa ElBaradei, a lawyer and former bar captain, joined the Faculty of Law of Cairo University and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws in 1962, and then received a doctorate degree in international legislation from the New York University School of Rights in the year 1974, he received several PhD degrees from a number of universities and international centers.

The scientific and practical aspect of the life of the Doctor:-

ElBaradei began breaking into professional life in 1964, where he joined the Egyptian diplomatic corps, working twice as a member of the Permanent Mission of Egypt to the United Nations in New York and Geneva, and he served as advisor to the Minister for Foreign Affairs between 1974 – 1978 and in 1980, ElBaradei became a Fellow of the Institute of the United Nations for training and research “UNITAR “, responsible for the programmes of international law, and between 1981 and 1987 he served as a part-time professor of international law at the New York University School of Laws. ElBaradei has been included in many positions in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and was one of the senior staff in Secretariat of the atomic Agency since 1984, of these positions held by the work of legal Adviser to it, and then in 1993 became Director general of External Relations, ElBaradei occupied the post of Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency in December 1997, and then reappointed again in September 2001, also for a third term in 2005, then he came as the head of the agency, succeeding former president Hans Blix, who held this post between 1981 – 1997 and ElBaradei is a member of many professional associations, including membership in the International Law Association, and membership in the American Society of Law International, and many more.

Celebrations, prizes and honoring for the Doctor:-

The committee responsible for awarding the Nobel Prize has chosen the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and its Director Mohamed ElBaradei to award them the Nobel Peace Prize in 2005, in recognition of their efforts to prevent the use of nuclear energy for military and war purposes, and to encourage civilian and peaceful uses, as The Queen of the Netherlands, in recognition of his pioneering role in the development of government mechanisms to curb the spread of nuclear weapons as well as the “Four Freedoms” prize awarded by the Franklin Roosevelt Foundation annually to international personalities with outstanding achievements, For its efforts to support the peaceful uses of nuclear energy and to prevent its use for military purposes it is known that the IAEA and its director ElBaradei have played an important role in maintaining peace, preventing the proliferation of nuclear weapons and striving for the peaceful use of nuclear energy, and The agency’s positions are its role in proving that Iraq has no nuclear weapon and weapons of mass destruction, which appeared to be contrary to the US position and insisted on the war despite the agency’s assertion that Iraq had no such weapons, Dr. ElBaradei was married to Mrs. Aida. The reagent, a school at the International School in Vienna, has two boys born and built, both residing and working in London.
